Dynamic Social Skills Groups are Social Skills Groups that provide young people and adults with an opportunity to discuss, explore, practice and refine social strategies and skills to support positive relationships with others, and resilience in relationships.

At the Allied Health Studio Collective, we offer social skills group programs based on the Dynamic Social Skills Group Model developed by Connie Buckingham, Psychologist.  These groups have been running since 2004 with evidence validating this approach.

The Dynamic Social Skills Group Program Model was developed by Connie Buckingham, informed by her PhD research in this area. Social skills are taught explicitly as social difficulties occur for participant's in the group.  Importantly, the group program isn't just about skills, it's about skills in context.  Participants engage in interesting and fun group challenges and experiences that provide engaging opportunities to practice new skills.
